Jan Gödde

Since my studies of geography (B.Sc.) at the Philipps-University of Marburg and my studies of spatial planning (M.Sc.) at the TU Dortmund University, my main interests are transport planning as well as spatial and mobility research. Currently I am working as a research assistant at the Faculty of Spatial Planning at the TU Dortmund University and am part of the interdisciplinary Junior Research Group MoveMe. In our research team, I am working as a doctoral student on the traffic potential and possible spatial effects of selected key innovations of digitalised mobility.

My research focuses in particular on the question of what contribution digitalised mobility offers can make to improving accessibility in rural areas and to what extent they can have a lasting effect on the mobility behaviour of the population living there.

I myself currently still use analogue means of transport: my feet and my bicycle. And preferably to the most beautiful stadium in the world, just around the corner.
